About Mrs. Cassiday:
Mrs. Cassiday earned a Bachelor of Science from Taylor University in Upland, IN. She is currently working towards a Master's degree in School Leadership and Administration through Ball State University. During the past five years at Carlisle Elementary, she has taught both 4th and 5th grades. Before joining the staff at Carlisle, Mrs. Cassiday taught second grade in Gary, IN, and also served as the Director of Children and Family Ministry for a Kentucky church. 

Why she enjoys teaching:
“I enjoy teaching because I love my students and truly care about them,” said Mrs. Cassiday. “[I] want to do everything I can to help them to be successful.”

Her favorite teaching moments:
“My favorite teaching moments are when I see my students take responsibility for their own learning and…mature as students in preparation for middle school.”

How she spends her time when she is not in the classroom:
“When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two (soon to be three!) kids,” she explained. “We enjoy exploring new places and camping when the weather is nice.”
