Suicide Prevention Week

Suicide Prevention Week

Suicide Prevention Week
is September 10-14!

Did you know?

Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for youth aged 10-14.  In response to this alarming statistic, Suicide Prevention Week is a week aimed at bringing awareness to warning signs, how to get help and suicide resources that are available.

At Carlisle, students will receive a card with a yellow ribbon.
This card is meant to be a simple way for students who are hurting to reach out for help.

6, 7 and 8 grade students will receive a short presentation about suicide warning signs and ways to get help.

In the 6th grade art class, students will be creating Suicide Prevention posters.  These posters will be placed around the school.

Warning Signs

Students are encouraged to speak up and get help from a trusted adult if they or someone they know are at risk of suicide.

Parents, if you need additional resources or have any questions/concerns, please contact Mrs. Wells.
