Science Olympiad


Science Olympiad is a competitive academic organization. Students compete in 23 events from three categories:  Building events, lab events, and study events. Students prepare building events, such as hovercrafts, towers, and airplanes to compete at regional and state competitions. They also study a myriad of advanced subjects--including meteorology, anatomy and physiology, and thermodynamics--as well as learn to how complete complex labs and analyze evidence in events such as Crime Busters (which analyzes evidence to solve a crime) and Potions and Poisons (in which students explore poisons, poisonous organisms, and treatment of poison). This year, CMS Science Olympiad took second place at our regional!
